Scunthorpe branch believes in challenging its members, inspiring them to stretch their skills, try out new techniques and produce wonderful pieces of embroidered work.

We do this by working on group projects (like Elizabeth), encouraging participation in our practical days and workshops, and by holding exhibitions and open days.

We hold a Christmas competition every year (one year we asked for embroidered christmas cards, another time we wanted angels to sit at the top of our tree.)

And we present our members with challenges.

Even if you're not a member of our branch, you may find these challenges intriguing and inspiring. Other Guild branches are welcome to offer up these challenges to their own members, or you might want to just have a go because you feel inspired. We only ask that, if you do, you let us know - and if you complete a piece of work, send us some pictures so we can see the results!
